Best option for me: Option 2

Reason being:
I think option 2 is a much better option than option 1. it adds more new pokemons to the game and possibility another region's gyms too. i will love more pokemon varieties added to the game and if more new different pokemons can be utilised on party slot(that will be better for everyone too)

After weighing both options 1 and 2, i think new items and legendaries are good to have, but can be at a later phrase after new regions are out
